Marketplace - Food & Clothing
By fulfilling these very basic needs, the Food and Clothing Pantry enables individuals and families to turn to other pressing concerns in their lives, and it introduces new clients to Baxter and the variety of services offered here.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets!
Each year, Baxter's Marketplace helps to provide families with seasonal food basekts for the holidays. Last year, Baxter was able to provide baskets to 800 families! If you are interested in providing baskets, a list of suggested food items is below. Please contact Marketplace Coordinator Genika Horton for more information at 456-8593 ext. 217.
Provide, at a minmum, for a complete dinner:
Meat-turkey, ham, or chicken
Potatoes, pasta, or rice- fresh, boxed, or canned
Vegetables- canned, fresh, or frozen
Fruit-canned or fresh
Bread/rolls
Butter/Margarine
Dessert-frozen, cake mix, pie mix and filling, or whipped topping
Gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, pickles or olives
Additional suggestions to include:
Juice, coffee, tea, milk
Salad fixings and dressing
Soup
Dry milk
Eggs
Peanut butter
Pasta products
Jello and pudding
Sugar
Cereal
Personal care items--soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothpaste, laundry detergent, dish soap, etc
